Are you looking for the best shampoo? You probably won’t find it in regular department stores. Instead, you may consider using a homemade shampoo made with mild and gentle, natural, ingredients. There is a long-lasting shampoo bar that is very unique. It cleanses and conditions the hair while improving scalp conditions!

This homemade shampoo is made with a combination of mild and gentle, natural, ingredients. It is, carefully, handcrafted by a, master, soap maker! What makes this the best shampoo? The details are in its natural ingredients. Ingredients such as: saponified oils, goat milk, beer, hydrolyzed silk protein, pro vitamin B 5, sugar, oat protein and a natural fragrance all lather up to provide beautiful hair and a healthful scalp! It helps get rid of dandruff and other annoying scalp problems.

Saponified oils such as, coconut, babassu, olive and castor are moisturizing and emollient. They soften and soothe the hair and scalp. If you have a dry, flaky, or itchy scalp you will appreciate these oils. If your hair is dry or brittle, it can be soft, instead.

Goat milk is a buffer that leaves skin close to its natural pH level. It is mild and gentle for the skin, hair and scalp. It contains the benefits of vitamins A, B, C, D E and K! Commercial hair care products may, actually, contribute to poor hair and scalp conditions. How? Often, commercial hair care products contain harsh ingredients. Harsh skin care ingredients can cause excessive oil production, dryness and flakiness. Instead, goat milk leaves the skin’s acid mantle intact.

Beer is more than just a refreshing beverage! It can enhance a beautiful shine to hair! When beer is handcrafted into hair formulations correctly, it can offer a beautiful luster to hair.

Pro Vitamin B 5 is used in many personal care products. It is, also, called panthenol, dexpanthenol or dl-panthenol. Some studies report that it prevents hair damage caused by overheating or over drying the hair or scalp. It is a natural moisturizer that conditions the hair, without scalp build-up, reducing damaging split ends.

Silk retains moisture, entraps oil and enhances hair shine. Those with dry, oily, brittle, frizzy or dull hair will all appreciate the benefits of silk. It imparts a satiny feel when added to creams, lotions, conditioners or other liquid formulations. It conditions the skin and hair.

Sugars, whether natural or refined, are wonderful conditioners for the skin and hair. Most conditioning science is based on sugars. Many of the unpronounceable names used in commercial or handmade body products are, usually, some kind of sugar derivative.

Oat protein adds strength and shine to hair. Those with brittle, frizzy, dry, dull or flat hair will appreciate the benefits of natural oat protein. Strong hair withstands the rigorous brushing or combing in, everyday, personal hygiene.

There are mild and gentle, natural, fragrances added to this homemade shampoo. Some commercial hair care products contain sharp, strong or over-bearing fragrances. You will know if a fragrance is too strong as soon as you try it! Harsh fragrances can contribute to poor hair and scalp conditions and even allergic reactions.

This homemade shampoo is handcrafted into a shampoo bar. You will never have to worry about spills! It is very convenient for traveling! Its 5.5 oz. size and bar shape offers easy storage in a purse, pocket, gym bag, suitcase or wherever you would like.

It is handcrafted with a long-lasting formula and is paraben-free! Added conditioners are not, even, necessary using this natural, homemade, shampoo! It can save you money!

If you are unhappy with your current shampoo, you may consider making a change. Discover a unique, homemade, shampoo handcrafted with mild and gentle, natural, ingredients. It is a shampoo for oily hair, dry hair, brittle hair, frizzy hair, dull hair, and more! It is healthful for your hair and scalp! It is the best shampoo around!

The Benefits Of Natural Shampoo

We all need to find a good shampoo to wash our hair. These days, the products available cater to every kind of hair situation you can imagine. Increasing the curl or keeping it straight, anti-dandruff or extra moisturizing, there’s a shampoo on the shelf somewhere to treat your condition.

The trouble with most shampoos is they often cause more harm than good. Yes, you can find some natural ingredients in these products, but you will also find some dangerous additives that are not good for your hair, skin or overall health. Things like Isopropyl alcohol, glycol and methylparaben, just to name a few, are fundamentally bad for you.

Even fragrances added to shampoos can contain chemicals that can be bad for both skin and hair. Have you ever switched shampoos, only to discover a couple days later that your face has become very dry, or you’ve broken out in acne? This is likely due to your skin reacting with the chemicals in commercial shampoos.

Natural product shampoos are much healthier for your hair, skin and body. They clean your hair, and offer different natural ingredients to remedy main common hair problems such as dryness. The difference most people notice when switching to natural products is that they don’t react the same as commercial products do.

Have you ever seen a coconut bubble? How sudsy is a chamomile flower? Commercial shampoos add different ingredients and chemicals to produce the illusion of cleaning to the consumer. In truth, lots of sudsy bubbles in your shampoo doesn’t actually make your hair cleaner. Nor does added scents and fragrances, most of which are alcohol based.

Using natural shampoos means you’ll have to get used to not seeing a fountain of bubbles when you wash your hair. However, you can be certain your hair is being cleaned, gently and effectively. These shampoos offer a wide variety of natural and often organic ingredients to condition your hair, fight the damage caused by toxins and bring your hair back to a healthy state.

Most of all, they will get your hair clean and fresh without chemicals. Good for you, good for your hair, in fact, good for the whole family, natural shampoos are the clean way to go.

How to Choose Organic Shampoo

The majority of the popular nationwide health food stores such as Whole Foods Market will carry the largest selection of organic shampoo. The majority of grocery stores, drugstores and discount stores will not carry these specialty shampoos. The ones that do will only carry a small sample and you will not get that many chooses.

Remember to read the ingredients on the labels of each shampoo bottle. Some brands claim to be “all natural” or organic but do not adhere to the strict organic shampoo guidelines. A genuine organic shampoo will be free of all synthetic ingredients and preservatives like diazolidinyl urea, carcinogen precursors or artificial coloring.

When searching for an all natural shampoo, look for natural fragrances and ingredients such as lavender, jasmine oils, any essential oils, vegetarian soap, coconut oil and filtered or deionized water.

Other ingredients to looks for are green tea extracts, tea tree oil, rosemary (helps with dry scalp), white camellia oil (moisturizer and conditioner) and ginseng.

Organic shampoo is a better alternative for baby hair care as baby skin is more sensitive than adults skin. The gentle ingredients will not harm your baby as well as prevent synthetic ingredients from absorbing into the skin. If the label on the bottle does not state that the product is organic and certified by the USDA, then don’t buy it. Many shampoos will be labeled as having all natural products , but remember to read all of the ingredients on the back of the label so you don’t end up paying for a premium product when in reality, the shampoo you’re buying is not organic.

Dog Suds – Shampoo Your Pup

Article by Debra Garrison

Dog shampoos are readily available wherever most pet products are sold. Many people prefer to bathe their dogs at home to save time as well as money. With several varieties of dog shampoos available, pet owners are sure to find the best one for their dog.

Most of us shampoo our dogs just to clean our dogs. A good shampoo for this purpose would be a gentle shampoo that lathers nicely when we bathed our dog.

If you are living in an area of the country infested with fleas and ticks, you might want to invest in flea and tick shampoo. These shampoos contain a chemical to kill the fleas on contact and prevent the ticks from getting on the dog. Some of these flea and tick shampoos have additional ingredients like colloidal oatmeal added to them to help soothe the dog’s skin.

Dogs with skin conditions such as seborrhea or dermatitis can be bathed with a medicated dog shampoo. Along with the medicine, these shampoos can also contain a conditioner to help promote a healthy coat on your dog. There are also hydrating dog shampoos for a shiny soft coat on your pet. Great smelling all natural shampoo is also beneficial for your dog’s coat. Is your dog scratching all the time? Anti-fungal, anti-itch shampoos with moisturizer can soothe the itch and promote a healthy coat.

Don’t have time to give your dog a bathe? Waterless shampoos clean your dog’s coat as they release the dirt and oils in the hair. These waterless shampoos sometimes contain healthy oils to add a silky softness and shine to a dog’s fur.

So for a soft and silky hair coat on your dog, look around and find the shampoo that works best for your dog’s needs.

Choosing The Right Shampoo For Your Hair

Article by April Harvey

How do you choose when you look at the huge variety of shampoos available in today’s marketplace?

Well your first consideration should be to determine what hair type you have. Would you classify it as greasy, normal or dry or possibly a combination of some of these types?

The good news is that whatever the condition of your hair, there are numerous versions of shampoo for your type to choose from.

Essentially shampoo’s main role is to remove residues from the hair, including any oil and dirt. Other variations such as clarifying shampoos are primarily designed to remove product build up. You can also find specially formulated shampoos for colour treated or permed hair.

You may choose to buy your hair products from your local professional hairdresser but typically they will be more expensive. However, you should find that they do tend to be of a higher quality than those found in your High Street shops. Often they last longer as well, as you find you tend to use less product when washing your hair.

We would suggest that you avoid shampoos that also contain conditioner. At Colchester Hairdresser we feel that the two should be applied separately, if you really want to see the best results in your hair condition.

Here are our guidelines for choosing the right type of shampoo for your hair:

Normal Hair:Find a shampoo with mild detergents as this will help maintain the moisture in your hair.

Fine / Limp / Oily Hair:We would always recommend using a light gentle shampoo which you should be able to use daily. Try to avoid the use of heavy shampoos containing strong detergents and overdoing it with too many products. This can often lead to your hair feeling limper than normal.

Dry / Damaged Hair:Look for shampoos that don’t contain any detergents. Choose the creamy shampoos instead of the clear ones. These should help diffuse static, detangle and smooth your hair.

Colour Treated or Permed Hair:There are lots of colour protection shampoos that both add moisture to your hair but also preserve the colour. Try to choose a moisturising shampoo, as often the ends of your hair can be dry.

Like most good things in life if you find something that works for you then stick with it….your hair will certainly appreciate it!

Look out for more hints and tips coming your way soon from your Colchester Hairdresser…

Eczema, which can develop at any age, is usually caused by an allergy to a particular substance or as a result of extreme stress and/or anxiety. This allergy or allergenic substance can be in the form of food or drink or something that the skin has come into contact with such as dust and mould or animal hair.

Research shows that around 1 in 5 people have a dry scalp condition, whether it be a dry, itchy scalp caused by eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis or dandruff. Unfortunately, this problem does not only result in extreme discomfort but it is also highly embarrassing in our over preened and image conscious world.

So, what shampoo for itchy scalp treatment is available that will help this scalp condition and what types may harm your scalp?

Most pharmacies will offer medicated shampoos to eliminate your scalp condition with varying versions on the market today such as T-Gel and Head and Shoulders. However, although there are some people who benefit from these shampoos, many others find that they add to the problem, which is more often than not, due to the ingredients used in the shampoo.

Although these shampoos come under the bracket of medicated shampoos, some of the ingredients are not something you would associate with medication. One of the worst offenders is sodium laureth sulphate, which is used to assist in lather production.

However, you don’t get that foamy lather without a downside. Sodium laureth sulphate is a very strong chemical which is also used in engine cleaning. That’s how powerful it is, so imagine what it is doing to a sensitive scalp!

Most dry, itchy scalps are the result of an overly sensitive scalp, so for that reason, gentle treatments must be used to soothe the scalp and clear up the flaky surface of the skin.

In some cases, it is just a matter of swapping a medicated or normal shampoo for an organic shampoo which uses only natural ingredients. In this case the elimination of harsh chemicals coming into contact with the skin is enough to let the skin heal and the itching reduce.

In other, more severe cases, a multi-faceted plan must be used, coming from a range of treatment angles. The organic shampoo will be used in conjunction with other natural treatments to the scalp.

Sometimes a dry and itchy scalp can be due to a poor diet, lacking in certain nutrients such as, B vitamins and vitamin C. Other causes can be environmental including central heating systems and air conditioners.

Many people underestimate the fragile nature of the scalp. It is not hardy skin that can weather anything that is thrown at it. The fragile and complex network of skin that makes up the scalp requires nourishment in the form of a well-balanced diet and gentle shampoo and conditioners that will moisturize and keep the skin balanced.

Finding the right shampoo for itchy scalp is a great step towards healing your scalp condition. To access the full step-by-step guide to the best scalp treatment, continue to, Itchy Scalp Treatment.

Having suffered from eczema for 15 years and finally found a way to prevent eczema and maintain my skin, I feel qualified to pass on my advice. Remember to consult your doctor when embarking on a new treatment.
