Question by : Straightening hair to keep it in good condition?
I use Avocado shampoo “strength & shine”
and a conditioner “repair and care”

I wash my hair every night with cold water
It dries overnight while sleeping.

In the morning its really frizzy, dry & theres lots of fly-away hairs
(i think the problem from it being frizzy and dry is straightening it everyday or maybe drying it out by washing my hair everyday and stripping its natural oils)
so in the morning i snip off any split ends i can see particularly the worst ones and then use
Tresemme Heat Protection Spray right before straightening my hair.

My hair doesn’t look frizzy and feel any where near as dry after straightening with protectant spray
and gives it shine makes it feel soft and silky look healthy and doesn’t give me lots of split ends
(but i think that the protectant spray just keeps the split ends together untill you wash it and then it opens up and splits again so i dont see them after straightening but they re-appear in the morning from re-opening)

I went a day without straightening or doing anything to my hair and it just felt dry and frizzy all day

I don’t straighten all my hair just a bit at the front where its wavy and sometimes my fringe

sorry its long but the main question is:
Should i straighten it to make it look and feel good
but will it be making it more frizzy and dry and be giving it more split ends and damaging it more
and seeing what its real condition is behind the straightening if its just damaged and i should give
straightening a break or maybe deep conditioning and not wash as much?

Well having your 10 pound (No offense) head on your hair while it dries will do some damage.
It’s like rubbing a towel on your head all night. (Which is bad) You should try not washing your hair as often and when you do take time to let it dry before going to sleep. (Like before you eat dinner)
Your just taking back all the conditioning you just did by sleeping with wet hair. (That can cause split ends)

Why Organic Shampoo Is A Good Choice?

Organic products are environment friendly and are free from synthetic chemicals. Regular, cheap shampoos from supermarket shelves contain harmful chemicals, like the sodium lauryl sulphate, phthalates and parabens. These are added for enhanced scent, lather and preservation. But the long term negative side effects include liver toxicity, permanent eye damage in children, and skin damage. The liver has a hard time metabolising the sodium lauryl sulphate. Hence, many of these chemicals linger in our bodies for a while. No wonder more and more people are turning to organic skin care and organic hair care, even if more expensive. What you pay now ona quality shampoo, you save later on medical bills.

Natural products differ and we react differently to them, simply because we are not all the same. For this reason, you will need to check organic shampoos for yourself. It’s a good idea to look up some online reviews, because they will go into the details of the manufacturing process and the ingredients used.

For instance, if you are suffering from hair loss, you should definitely consider an organic shampoo. Actually, the very presence of the infamous sodium lauryl sulphate makes ordinary shampoos very hard on your scalp and hair, triggering dandruff, skin allergies and favoring hair loss.

Organic shampoo retains natural oils and vitamins

The best organic shampoos contain natural ingredients, like coconut extract and olive oil. Their use does not strip the hair of its natural vitamins and oils. Other frequently used components of organic shampoos are the tea tree and the rosemary leaves. Crushed lavender flowers help restore the sheen. Herbs like basil and nettle stimulate the scalp. Organic shampoos contain essential oils. After their use, the hair feels cleaner, lighter and fresher.

Keeping the colour intact

If you dye your hair, an organic shampoo will enhance your look. Your hair will look more radiant and healthy. The shampoo will not interfere with the applied colour. Also, a natural shampoo will give your hair an extra gloss. Some typical natural components that occur in organic shampoos for dyed hair are: wild cherry, rosemary, chamomile, lavender and pure coconut.

Here are a few more organic ingredients to look for: willow leaf extract, peppermint extract, lemon fruit water, willow and vegetable glycerin. Exotic oils of the lemon tree, tea tree, cedar leaf and juniper are present in the best organic shampoos for dandruff. Overall, the scalp does not get dry after using a natural shampoo.

You may also want to try the goodness of ginseng and camellia oil. Both of these are active ingredients with a conditioning effect of an organic shampoo. ‘Go green’ today and detoxify, by switching to organic!

There are many compelling reasons for choosing an organic shampoo, an organic soap or any other organic skin care product. The first and foremost is the fact that they are as natural as you are. People start having problems when subjecting themselves to chemical agents. Allergies occur as a result. Starting using organic products will diminish allergies.
